Welcome to the Lloyd Gardner Fellowship Program!
The Lloyd C. Gardner Fellowship Program in Leadership & Social Policy focuses on crucial issues of global significance and prepares students for lives of service and leadership - as scholars, as policy analysts, and as engaged citizens. The topic for 2018-2019 is "Violence and Non-Violence." Working with both academic experts and decision-makers from various professions, we will view social policy issues from multiple perspectives, forging a new approach to liberal education via the interplay of multi-disciplinary academic analysis and on-the-ground experience.
In the fall semester, fellows participate in an advanced seminar featuring special guest lectures from top scholars in the School of Arts and Sciences, and a trip to the United Nations. In the spring semester, students conduct independent research and join the program on an overnight trip to Washington D.C.
