The 2013-2014 class of Lloyd Gardner Fellows have had a busy fall semester! The seminar has featured numerous speakers from the advisory committee and from across the university. We've also had a variety of networking events with the Gardner alum from the inauguarl class, such as our Gala Dinner held at the Eagleton Institute in September (top left). It was a lot of fun to have the two classes meet for the first time!
Additionally, the seminar hosted distinguished outside speakers, such as Roland Rich from the United Nations Democracy Fund (top right). In October, the fellows again visited the United Nations. They had the opportunity to tour the UN headquarters (bottom left) and to visit the Polish Mission to the United Nations (not pictured), the United Kingdom Mission to the United Nations, and the Egyptian Mission to the United Nations (bottom right).
It was a fascinating and fulfilling day, and one that allowed the class to see how the international community thinks about and addresses issues of democratization and human rights.
